I created a card for this challenge using Image #182, Veggie Veronica:

Hand Colored Hugs -- for Star Stampz

Happy Thursday, everyone!  I'm so glad we're getting closer to the weekend!  Today's also the start of a new challenge at Star Stampz Challenge blog.  For the next two weeks, our theme is an easy one -- use a hand colored image.

I used "Spring Sunshine" to create this:

I colored the digi stamp, Spring Sunshine, with Copic markers.  I used some free designer paper I got with a magazine on this card.  The dies are all from Spellbinders.  The flowers were purchased at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us for the challenge at Star Stampz challenge blog.    Check out the Star Stampz Facebook Group, too. You'll find great inspiration there, too!

On Your Special Day -- for Julia Spiri Challenge Blog

Happy Thursday, everyone!  It's time for a new challenge on the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.  For the next 2 weeks, our theme is 'wedding.'

I used the Peonies and Ranunculus, Watercolor Clip Art, to create this:

I layered several of the flowers and vines together to get this effect, and added the sentiment using a font on my computer.  After that, it was a matter of finding some elegant paper that looked like 'wedding', an elegant die cut, some glitter trim, and the card was complete!

This is definitely the season of weddings and wedding showers.  I have several coming up in the next few weeks and this card is going to come in handy!

I hope you can join us at the Julia Spiri Challenge blog for our 'wedding' challenge.  We've got great prizes, and I'd love to see what you make!  Join the Stamps by Julia Spiri Facebook group, too, for more inspiration, fun, and occasional freebies!

Happy Summer -- for Coloring Without Boundaries

Hello, fellow crafters.  This weekend is Memorial Day weekend here in the U.S., and the unofficial start of summer.  What could be more perfect than featuring this happy summertime image from Lacy Sunshine artist, Heather Valentin?

Today, I'm featuring Eleanor & Pickles Digging Clams....

I'll talk you through the process of how I colored this, starting with skin:

I used the lightest skin tones behind the glasses, so it would look different there -- E000 & E00.
The rest of the skin tones are: E00, E21, E34 Lips - R21, R22 blush - R12

Eyes - BV000, BV02, BV04

Hair - YR24, Y21, E50

Glasses - B32, B34, B37, C00

Frog - G00, G20, G21, G24
Tummy - YG00, YG11, YG13, YG17
Eyes - W1, W3, W5, W7

Snorkel & Fins - BG000, B00, B02, B05
Water - BG000, BG11, C01
Sand - E30, E31, E34, E35, E37

Sundress, Hat, and Hair Ribbons -- BG000, BG01, BG05, V000, V01, V04

Pail - YR12, YR14, YR18.  The pail wasn't bright enough, so I added YR02
Clams - YG91, YG97, YR20, YR24
Pearl - C01, C00

Here are Eleanor & Pickles Digging Clams, made into a card  -

I cut the card base out on my Silhouette Cameo, with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The puffy sentiment and sun are from October Afternoon.  The designer paper is from Carta Bella.  The Kraft paper is from Close To My Heart.

You'll find this tutorial and other wonderful tutorials on the Coloring Without Boundaries blog.  There's  opportunities to improve your coloring with Heather Valentin's online coloring classes.  They are available for purchase in the Lacy Sunshine Store.  Check out the Lacy Sunshine Color N Craft Community on Facebook and the Coloring Without Boundaries Facebook Group for inspiration and information.

Christmas Cheer -- for Great Impressions Stamps

Happy Saturday, all my crafty followers!  I hope you have time to enjoy the weekend.  I am posting today for Great Impressions Stamps, and I'm featuring a Christmas card. I'm trying to get at least one, hopefully 2 made each month.

I love this chickadee stamp! It's Great Impressions stamp G28 - Winter Chickadee, colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment, stamped in red on the base of the easel card, is A151 - Cheer.

The card was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo with a Lori Whitlock file, found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The snowflakes are Cheery Lynn dies.  The papers have been in my stash forever. They are a Lily Bee Design 6x6 paper pad, Jingle.

Have you joined our Birthday with Bling challenge yet at Great Impressions Stamps?  Please do!  It goes all month, and I'd love to see what you make!  Don't forget to shop at the Great Impressions Store, too!  You'll find these 2 stamps, and many, many more!

Sun Kissed -- for Sasayaki Glitter Stamps

It's time for a little mid-month inspiration over on the Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog.  The theme all this month is "Mother's Day".

I found an absolutely delighful digi in the Etsy Shop, and I jumped at the chance to color it up.  Here's Vase Mouse --

I colored Vase Mouse with Copic markers.  I cut the card base out on my Silhouette Cameo, using a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The stitched oval is a die from Die-namics. The designer paper and silver foil tape are from Close To My Heart.  The sentiment is a puffy sticker from October Afternoon.

I had a great time coloring this image and creating this card.  I hope you can join in the fun at the Sasayaki Glitter Challenge this month!  We've got great prizes, and I'd love to see what you make!

Warm Birthday Wishes -- Outlawz Progressive Challenge

I had an extra day off on Monday, and it gave me time to get my monthly free image colored up for the Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge.  This month, the sponsor is PPinky Dolls Art.  Yea!  That makes me very happy as I always love coloring her images!

My mother-in-law's birthday is in a couple weeks.  The image has a cat in it.  She's a cat lover.  So, it became a birthday card:

I colored the PPinky Dolls Art image with Copic markers.  The card base was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  I used several Spellbinders dies to cut out the image and back it.  Papers were a combination of digital (Michele R Designs) and 12x12 (Heartfelt Creations).  The crystals are from Prima.

I hope you enjoy my creation, but mostly, I hope my MIL does!

You're the Best -- for Crafty Sentiments Designs

It's Tuesday, and time for a new challenge at the Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog.  The theme this week is "Things with Wings".  What better thing with wings than a dragon?

This card was made with Crafty Sentiments Designs, using rubber stamp Me & My Dragon.  It is such a cute stamp!

I colored Me & My Dragon with Copic markers.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the easel card with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The brad that holds the easel up is from Close To My Heart.  The Dragon and flower digital papers were found at Pixel Scrapper.

You Can Count on Me -- for Path of Positivity

It's the middle of the month, and time for some mid-month inspiration over on the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.    Our theme all this month is Empathy, and our sponsor this month is Sparkle N Sprinkle.

I used April Showers (both image and sentiment) to create this:

I colored the April Showers image with Copic markers.  I added the sparkly raindrops using a glue pen and silver glitter.

I cut the card base out on my Silhouette Cameo, using an easel card file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The papers are from Jillibean Soup.

You can count on me come rain or shine -- certainly an empathetic saying if there ever was one.  Counting on others, leaning on others, feeling support from others.  These are all what empathy is about.

I hope you can join in on our Empathy challenge this time at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog.  It runs all month!

With You, I am Home! A New Release at Oddball Art

It's the 15th of the month, so it's New Release day at Oddball Art Stamp Company.  Lizzy Love has released more great art today!

I've created a card using #306, Pixie Pete:

This image comes as one image (with includes an adorable snail), or  separated.  I used the separate parts, so Pixie Pete can live under this big, safe, mushroom.

I colored Pixie Pete with Copic markers.  The image is cut out and backed with a couple sizes of Spellbinders dies.  The card base was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo, using a file from the Silhouette Design Store.  The papers, silver foil tape, and floral elements are from Close To My Heart.

Do you like challenges?  Oddball Art Stamps has several each month.  There's one starting today on the challenge blog,  and there's also a Facebook challenge each month.  Join in the fun and win some great Oddball Art images!  Want to buy some Oddball Art digis of your own?  Use discount code DTJULIE10 to get 10% off your order.

Be Yourself -- for Oddball Art Challenge Blog

It's the 15th of the month.  That means a new challenge is starting at the Oddball Art Challenge Blog.  The challenge will run for a month, and the theme is "girl".  There are LOTS of great images that fit this theme in the Oddball Art Etsy shop

My card for this challenge uses Image #19, Cassidy:

Image #19, colored with Copic markers, is perfect for this challenge.  Cassidy is definitely Girlie!  She looks so cute in her bright spring outfit, doesn't she?

The sentiment on this card is a retired stamp from Close To My Heart.  I cut out the card base on my Silhouette Cameo, with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store. The image is cut out with a die from Die-namics.  The plaid paper is from Lawn Fawn.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  The butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die.

Just Because -- for Coloring Without Boundaries

It's time for a new showcase at Coloring Without Boundaries. You'll see many wonderfully colored Lacy Sunshine creations if you visit the blog.  They are all drawn by the uber talented Heather Valentin.

Today, I had the joy of coloring up Mushi - Briar Whimsie:

I colored Mushi - Briar Whimsie with Copic markers.

Here's the colors I used, starting with skin:

I started out coloring all the skin first, using E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20, R21, and R22

Next, I colored the hair:

I used V04, V12, BG05, & BG11.  This was a new color combination for me, but I liked how easily it blended together, and I'll certainly use it again.

The rest of the colors used are:

Eyes -- BG000, B12, B14
Wings  & Skirt-- V000, V01, B000, B01
Top -- BG11, BG32
Shorts and arms -- B41, B45
Belt and Stockings -- BV000, BV01, BV04
Mushrooms -- Y23, Y26, Y28, Y35, Y38

I cut out the colored image with a Die-namics cross stitched die.  The card base was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo, using a file found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The flowers were purchased at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  All papers are from Close To My Heart, except the X Press It Blending Card.

Please check out the Coloring Without Boundaries blog for more inspiration and a challenge that starts today with this showcase.   Join the Coloring Without Boundaries Facebook Group and the Lacy Sunshine Color N Craft Facebook Group, too.

Peeking in to Wish You Well -- for Great Impressions Stamps

It's Saturday -- my day to post on the Great Impressions Stamps blog.  I LOVE any chance I get to create with these incredible stamps!  Today I played with the fun H264 - Puppy Peeking and matching sentiment E865 - Peeking In

I colored H264 - Puppy Peeking with Copic markers.  I stamped the sentiment, E865 - Peeking In, at an angle, then tore the paper along the stamp.  I did the same with the backing paper.

Papers on this card are digital. They are from the Echo Park Springtime papers, printed with my laser printer.  The shimmer trim and enamel dots are from Close To My Heart.

Yea!  I have an adorable Get Well card, ready to go.  Anything with a dog theme is a hit with many of my dog-friendly relatives and friends.  We're all a bit pet-crazy!

Have you joined our Birthday with Bling challenge yet at Great Impressions Stamps?  Please do!  It goes all month, and I'd love to see what you make!  Don't forget to shop at the Great Impressions Store, too!  You'll find these 2 stamps, and many, many more!

Rose Fairy - for Crafty Sentiments

It's Tuesday, and time for a new challenge at the Crafty Sentiments Challenge blog.  This week, our theme is Anything Goes. Yeah!  I love Anything Goes challenges!

I used a New Release -- Isobel - Rose Fairy, to create this:

I colored Isobel - Rose Fairy with Copic markers.  Papers are digital, from the Echo Park Spring kit, purchased at Snap Click Supply.  I used various sizes of a Spellbinders die set to create the card.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  The card stock base is from Close To My Heart.

Today is first day of New Releases.  To see more, visit the Crafty Sentiments Inspirations blog each day, today-Friday.  The new releases will be available in the Crafty Sentiments Designs Store on Saturday, May 7.

I hope you can join in on our Anything Goes Challenge this week at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog!

Small Things, Big Hearts -- for Path of Positivity

It's the first Monday of May, and time for a new challenge at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  This month, our theme is 'Empathy'.

Our sponsor this month is Sparkle N Sprinkle.  I have a fantastic image and sentiment combo I worked with for this challenge.  I adore it!

I used Hummingbird 1 digital stamp set on this card.  It includes the hibiscus, the hummingbird, and the sentiment.  The hummingbird is fussy cut.  The hibiscus is cut out with a die from Craftin' Desert Divas.  I love this sentiment.  I think it fits this tiny hummingbird so well.

All the papers, glimmer trim, and the embossing folder used on this card are from Close To My Heart.

Empathy -- I see it everyday in the nursing home where I work.  It takes a big heart to work there, but I also see some incredibly big hearts in the people who live there.  I'm surrounded by acts of kindness.  Empathy abounds, and for that I am blessed!

I hope you can join us this month at the Path of Positivity blog for our Empathy challenge.  I'd love to see how you interpret it, and I'd love to see what you make!
